Reclaiming my clay

I reclaim a lot of my clay, I would dare day that I loose less than 2% of my initial clay, maybe to the bit that landed on the floor or my coveralls. I am very careful to recycle the water I use and don’t put water with clay in it down the drain. I love the process. I learnt it in Australia as their culture is so careful and protects water use. This is how I choose to start my year. Lovingly crushing past projects that have dried out throuroughly, adding water, mixing with a drill for over a week and pouring onto a bat of plaster. I add the words love and gratitude to the top to enfuse with the good intentions I have for the final product and watch the surface crack as it dries to just the perfect consistency for me to throw with. I love my clay soft and will often soften my boxed clay as well. Here are some process shots as I await the perfect conditions for me to create.

I couldn’t add more love to the clay than my 6 year old can with her pinky finger 🥰 #blessed
